I'm the cowgirl who you will always find on one of her beloved paint horses eager for any opportunity to kick up some dirt and fly! I remember watching the California Cowgirls perform in 2008 at the Western States Horse Expo. I had competed in a few cutting horse shows and was looking for something different to do with my horses. That night after their performance, I applied to join the team via their website and it was not until a year later that I heard back from the then captain, Sara Curtis, and joined the California Cowgirls in 2009. Thinking about my first performance with the team, which was at the California State Fair, only brings back feelings of immense happiness! We performed for 3 nights in a row and I did not want it to ever end. It was then that I knew I could not live without the thrill of drill in my life and I was hooked. In 2010 my American Paint Horse Fresa and I were able to perform in the World Equestrian Games in Lexington, KY, a once in a lifetime experience with this team that I will cherish forever.
